Daniel Lowin represents businesses in commercial and employment litigation and counsels them on complex employment law matters, joining legal expertise and analytical acuity with extensive business experience. Daniel works with companies of all sizes across industries including software and technology; business services and consulting; construction; manufacturing; transportation and distribution; healthcare; and financial services. Prior to joining Messerli Kramer in 2016, he spent four years as a litigator with a top-100 international law firm and six years as senior counsel for a premier publicly-traded analytics technology company.  He leverages his unique background to deliver practical solutions based on business objectives.

As a litigator, Daniel represents companies in breach of contract, non-compete, trade secret, and other business disputes, and defends them against discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower, and other employment claims. As an advisor, Daniel counsels employers on state and federal employment laws; drafts company policies, agreements, and contracts; and help them navigate personnel management decisions. He has international employment law experience and assists global employers with workforce and compliance issues across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

Daniel graduated from Harvard Law School in 2005, where he served as a Primary Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Gender after receiving his B.A. from Amherst College in 2002. Outside of his law practice, Daniel is an accomplished woodworker and a mediocre golfer.
