Rebecca Egbert is an entrepreneur, midwife, and experiential educator who has spent nearly 20 years working to reform women’s and postpartum healthcare in the U.S. In her research she has explored how collaborative care models between providers can improve maternal mortality and health outcomes. She has also investigated the roles that wellness and access to care play in transforming behavioral changes in a woman’s health.
Egbert is the founder and CEO of The Mother Love, a Minneapolis-based startup that aims to improve the overall health of moms, including behavioral health, through a personalized postpartum care experience. The Mother Love works with health systems and providers to educate and engage patients in high-quality postpartum care. Currently, her company is implementing its first product, Little Mother’s Helper®, in both digital and print forms, across two health systems in Minnesota, Colorado, and Western Kansas.
Through her engagement with health systems, providers and consumers, she has come to recognize that there is a plethora of new companies focused on improving women’s health and maternal care in the tech ecosystem. Rebecca is committed to joining forces with other women’s health startups and being a catalyst to ensure the solutions we are creating are good for patients and good for providers.
