The Works Museum and Shattuck St. Mary's School are hosting TCSW's first ever kid-parent event! Get the family together and join us for an action-packed afternoon of sketching, building, rebuilding, and collaborative engineering -- plus pizza and a little yoga to keep the creative juices flowing.

All participating teams will be given the engineering challenge during the start of the event and will have 2.5 hours to create a prototype to solve the challenge. Teams will use the tools and materials provided to build their prototype, and can provide their sketches to help describe the design process. Engineering mentors will be around to help advise teams on good design strategies. Please arrive at 1 p.m. for kickoff. At the end, we'll share our prototypes with one another and celebrate with pizza!

Teams limited to 5 members, and requiring at least one adult. Best for kids ages 9-14 and their adult teammates.
